I’ve finally decided to write a blog to communicate with people who are interested in learning more about themselves. I’ve often been asked to do this but could never find the time! But as of recently I have decided that it is important to make time!
I hope to learn more about what people (especially women) are hoping to change in their lives and ways they hope to do it. I really want to learn about other women who are taking more control for themselves in their decision-making processes and how they are doing it.
Through my blog, I hope to inspire and help others.
More about me…
My career as a psychotherapist led me in the direction of specializations in relationship issues and sex therapy. This seemed like a natural direction for me as all through my high school and college years my friends always came to me for advice. This continued when I was a high school English teacher.
After becoming a Sex Therapist, I found it important to share some of the insights I’ve gained from my clients over the years. Their problems like issues with accepting their sexual selves or integrating their sexuality into their daily lives were ones that I felt were common and important to write about. Growing up in a household of writers, I’ve always felt inspired to write a novel, so I felt it was finally time to give fiction-writing a try.
I’ve always loved truly great writing. Some of my favorite authors include Herman Melville, D.H. Lawrence, Albert Camus, Erica Jong and Anais Nin.
Whenever I have free time (which isn’t often!) I love to travel. I’ve traveled to many places in the world. Some of my favorites are France, Austria and Scotland. I have many more places to go on my bucket list. I also love to get out and dig around in my garden. I’m planning a vegetable garden next year. I also love hiking and biking when I can, as well as skiing when I am around snow, and working and playing with animals…domestic and wild!
Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.
